ABOUT ASIA PACIFIC VENTURES

Asia Pacific Ventures (APV), located in the heart of Silicon Valley, was founded in 1989 by William Stewart upon his departure from corporate planning at NEC headquarters in Tokyo. While at NEC in the mid 1980’s Mr. Stewart saw that North American companies had a need for strategic direction in approaching Japan and Asia, and furthermore needed quality senior contacts at major corporations in Asia in order to be successful. Be it through an over reliance on informal, casual introductions to potential partners or selection of a local implementation partner without breadth nor reach of senior contacts, these companies wasted valuable resources developing results in Japan which did not meet their expectations. Mr. Stewart returned to the US and established APV to offer consulting and advisory services to North American technology companies who have a business objective in Japan. Since that beginning, APV expanded its services to support new business in Korea, Taiwan and China, and also to provide market development services for companies in Asia to address their needs in the North America markets. APV’s professional staff utilizes their extensive local knowledge, most having served in executive leadership positions in Asia for Fortune 500 companies. Based on this approach and APV’s consistent results for nearly two decades it has established a reputation in Silicon Valley as the leader in delivering meaningful results in Asia.
