MITCHELL NELSON, PRINCIPAL

Mr. Nelson joined APV in 2003, and is leading our China/Taiwan practice. With over 12 years of international and domestic high technology sales and management experience, Mr. Nelson assists APV clients in developing business in the US, Taiwan, and China. Prior to joining APV, Mr. Nelson spent three years as Director of Sales at Allot Communications managing both channel and carrier sales of a QoS internet appliance. His accomplishments include multi million dollar equipment sales to major US data carriers, and opening new niches for the traffic management technology in the satellite, cable, and education markets. From 1995 to 1999 Mr. Nelson developed business in China, Taiwan, and Korea for Tekelec Inc's, SS7, GPRS, and ATM switch and test platforms divisions achieving sales person of the year award selling to leading mobile service providers and switch manufacturers throughout Asia.

Mr. Nelson earned degrees in both Economics and East Asian Studies from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1988, and an MBA from San Francisco State University in 1995. He has lived and worked for 4 years in Mainland China and studied as an exchange student at Beijing University. Mr. Nelson is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
